Unfortunately I forgot to hit record on my laptop and didn’t get the sets, but here’s what I played in between Starpause and Saskrotch:
Color – Markus Schrodt
Summer Fruit Dance Party – Covox
We Are Hi-Speed Tour Mix – Sabrepulse
Hux Flux Deluxe – Random
Yeah Yeah Beats – She
Short Circuit Socialism – Touchboy
The Charge of the Light Speed Brigade – Natty
Jag minns inte (lithis remix) – Psilodump
The Manhattan Transfer (Firebrand Boy Remix) – Sabrepulse
$$ Troopers – Huoratron
(My set was sprinkled throughout with samples of Eli Porter, Saskrotch saying “8bitpeoples: drama,” various Star Trek noises, and John McCain saying “My Friends” over and over again.)
After Saskrotch’s nudity-inducing set, Stealthopera and C-Tor played the following:
Don’t Go – Puzique
DVNO (Les Petits Pilous Mix) – Justice
My Penny (Original Mix) – Crookers
Heartbeats (Rex the Dog Remix) – The Knife
The Girl Who Kisses Out of Both Sides of Her Mouth – Stealthopera
Flash Dancer – Rayflash
Kiss’n'horns (Vengeance Edit) – Surkin
My People (DIM Remix) – The Presets
Missing You – Trash 80

I stopped posting on Sunday before the festival even began. I gave up on my grand blogging project before it was done because I wanted to enjoy the festival too much. I realized that, seeing what a clearly partial and biased observer I was, any journalistic pretense to the endeavor would be a sham.
I’m at work now. The prettiest girl in the office just asked me how the “book festival” was. If she were a man I’d have been hard pressed not to hit her for being so callous and unknowing. I’ll make my official thank-yous here and now:
Peter Swimm- Thanks for encouraging me to write here. I look forward to playing on the L.E.S. with you tomorrow.
Nigel & Niklas – thanks for being wonderful houseguests and keeping me company on the long train rides home.
Jeremiah, Josh, Mike, Suzan, Jean, Ricardo, Richard, all the tank people – You make this city hum with energy. You have the strength of Hercules, the wisdom of Odysseus, and a staggering case of Obsessive-compulsive-disorder.
Suzan again, Ian, Nigel again, Jordan, Jonas, Motoki, Cowboy Mark – Way to make this afterparty even better than the festival for me (even if my “8BitPeoples: Drama” and “I’m the best, mayne” samples weren’t loud enough.) I’ll check the recording later and see if it came out well enough to post. If not I’ll just post a tracklist.
All the out-of-towners: Kezzie and Ophy; we all love you even more now that we’ve met you, Dauragon; keep coming to New York, JPTR, Calmdownkidder, E.S.C., PDF Format, and a big hug to Chris: I really wish you well, brother. I’m sure there are some people I’m forgetting here.
Performers: I didn’t get to spend much time with all of you, but Syphyus, Mia, Ikuma, Jellica, Nordloef, IAYD, Role Model, Low-Gain, Meneo, Trash80 and the rest of you guys, congratulations on successful performances one and all!
Of course the New York Crew: Bubblyfish, Glomag, Starscream, The ‘Guch, Minusbaby (+openback and champ,) and more people who I’m failing to remember.
Ok. I’m getting tired of listing shit, but the visualists all really outdid themselves this year.
I’m going to go commit Saati now on the funeral pyre of this year’s Blip.
Expect something

Stu, despite being harrassed by the security for bringing booze back stage (allegedly,) slammed the house and all the true chip devotees stormed the stage and surrounded his podium before getting kicked off by the bouncers.
Dubmood is on now. Despite being a bit aloof in person, he’s trilling and fuzzing the end of the night well.
I can’t wait till tomorrow. Open mic here I come!

Nullsleep just wrecked it while Paris Treantafeles blew everyone’s mind with the best-coordinated visual set EVER. Nullsleep gets better every day. Quantum chiptune tracking.
He’s fast approaching the singularity.
I crowd surfed yet again.
Stu is on now and flinging dramatic highs toward the eager public.
Dubmood is up next and this is definitely my last blog of the night.
Love,
Natty

I was just hoisted up by stealthopera and Glomag and I surfed the crowd. Other surfers: Dissasembler, Louie, and Facundo were amongst the other surfers.
Sulumi was incredible. He was a bit of a wild card tonight – most locals hadn’t heard of him until he was announced for the festival. He played all that and more. The crowd was raging, and Entter shared the stage with him to do live visuals.
“Maybe in the next century you’ll live on the moon.”
Nullsleep was standing in the crowd and a blonde girl tapped him on the shoulder. He didn’t recognize her. She leaned in close and whispered in his ear the sentence every cyberwarrior yearns to hear: “Maybe next century you’ll live on the moon.”
Then she walked away.
Apparently, the same girl did the exact same thing at the first Blip Festival in 2006.
Cow’p is up next. He’s been telling everyone how much he loves their bass.
That dude loves bass.
